Description

Minecraft Modding Camp – Beginner to Intro Level

Build Your Own Minecraft Creations — Not Just Play the Game
In this exciting Minecraft Modding camp, students go beyond playing Minecraft and learn how to create their own custom game content—just like real game developers do.
Instead of only exploring worlds that already exist, campers design and build their own Minecraft features, including custom creatures, tools, weapons, ores, and special effects. They decide how items work, how creatures behave, and what happens when players interact with their creations.

Throughout the week, campers work on hands-on projects such as:
Creating their own custom creature with unique abilities
Designing special tools and weapons
Adding new ores that can be mined and used
Making game effects like power-ups and loot drops
Campers don’t need any prior coding experience. Our instructors guide students step by step, helping them experiment, solve problems, and turn ideas into working creations. Projects are flexible, so beginners feel supported while more experienced students can add extra creativity.
We also balance computer time with off-screen activities, including:
Planning and sketching ideas
Group discussions and design challenges
Testing and sharing creations with others
This mix keeps campers engaged, moving, and collaborating—not just sitting at a screen all day.
Minecraft Modding: Foundations & First Creations is perfect for kids ages 7–14 who love games, enjoy building things, and want to see what it’s like to create their own ideas inside a game they already love.
